Everyone has a Theory as to Why, 2002

Carl's project was based on a traditional Ukiyo-e Japanese woodcut.

The original image was cleaned and traced digitally. Then, using his own formula of repeats and flips, Carl generated the final piece in Photoshop.

The finished prints are produced as IRIS prints on Somerset Velvet paper.
